Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Incons (ranked 5019 p4p, 23533 weight class) and Michael Nessen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mitch Incons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Nessen! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Incons circles away from the clinch attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Incons misses the target. Nessen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Incons tries to avoid it but Nessen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Incons to the ground. Incons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nessen goes for a double leg but Incons avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Incons continues to drive forward. Incons throws a jab when Nessen was well out of range. Incons decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nessen wants to get back to full guard. Incons content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Incons blocks the strikes from Nessen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, if Incons is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nessen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Incons wants to control from the top but Nessen keeps moving. Incons passes easily into side control. Nice work. Incons trying to control the action but Nessen is working from the bottom. Nessen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Nessen is staying active underneath Incons, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nessen trying to hold on to Incons's head to control him but Incons postures up.
Nessen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Incons controlling the action here. Nessen gets back to full guard.
Incons stands up from guard. Let's bang! Nessen shoots in looking for a takedown. Incons tries to sprawl out of it but Nessen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Incons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mitch Incons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Nessen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nessen shoots in but Incons avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nessen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nessen tries to clinch but Incons moves away and Incons counters with a lovely straight right hand! Incons with a nice calf kick. Nessen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Incons defends well and Nessen ends up having to push Incons into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nessen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nessen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Incons swats him away and circles back towards the center. Incons drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nessen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nessen won't allow Incons to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nessen tries to roll over but Incons keeps him under control. Nessen moves into full guard.
Nessen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Incons manages to get himself to full guard.
Incons looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nessen tries to free his leg and advance position but Incons is retaining full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nessen pushes down on Incons's leg and manages to get into half guard. Nessen is trying for a kimura here. Incons looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nessen wins by kimura!
