Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Gomes (ranked 5781 p4p, 3828 weight class) and Kemar Powell (ranked 568 p4p, 481 weight class). Powell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lil Baby & Lil Durk - Hats Off kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Gomes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kemar Powell!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes lands a jab to the head.
Gomes misses with a lunging right hand
letting Powell counter with a right hand.
Gomes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Powell looks to land a left hand but Gomes moved out of range nicely.
Gomes throws a predictable looking body shot
and Powell counters with a crisp right hand that drops Gomes! Powell lets Gomes back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Gomes is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Powell misses with a looping left.
Powell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Powell has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gomes finds it's way round the side to connect with Powell's head.
Gomes moves away from the strike by Powell.
Gomes throws a body shot but no joy.
Powell is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
A punch combination from Powell misses.
A little feinted left hand from Gomes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Powell throws a right hand that misses
and Gomes counters with a series of strikes. Powell will be more careful next time no doubt.

Powell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gomes counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Gomes is looking to clinch but Powell is avoiding it.
Powell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Powell takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gomes catches Powell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gomes defending well as Powell loads up on a big left hand.
Gomes swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Gomes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Powell.
Good leg kick by Powell.
Gomes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Powell.

Powell swats away the attempt to clinch by Gomes.
Gomes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Powell's head backwards.
Gomes tries to close the distance and clinch but Powell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gomes cracks Powell with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gomes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Powell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Powell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Powell takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gomes throws a left and a right that both miss
and Powell counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gomes thinking.
Powell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gomes.
It looks like Gomes has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Gomes lands a body shot.
Powell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gomes is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Powell lands an overhand right.
Powell misses with a lunging right hand
and Gomes counters with a stiff right hand.
Gomes with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Gomes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Powell misses with a looping left.
Gomes throwing a counter right hand but Powell manages to avoid it.
A swing and a miss from Gomes.

Gomes moves in looking to clinch but Powell pushes him off.
Powell throws a chopping leg kick but Gomes manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gomes is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Nice cross by Gomes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomes misses with a combination
and Powell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gomes ducks under a wild hook from Powell.
Powell throws a leg kick but Gomes checks it.
Powell with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Gomes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Gomes slips under a jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kemar Powell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Gomes tries to clinch but Powell moves out of range.

and Powell counters with an outside leg kick.
Gomes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gomes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Powell.

Powell just misses with a punch to the body.
Powell tries to bum rush Gomes with a series of wild strikes but Gomes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gomes was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Powell drops Gomes with a beautiful combination! Gomes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Powell is looking for the KO!
Oh Gomes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gomes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Powell. Powell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gomes seems to have got his legs back now.
Powell throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Powell lands a left and a right that send Gomes crashing to the mat, dazed. Powell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gomes throws a lazy uppercut
and Powell counters with a nice right hand that sends Gomes toppling to the canvas! Gomes scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Powell finish him?!
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Gomes might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Gomes bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Powell comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Gomes falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Gomes was out before he hit the floor!
