And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Welch!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown drops Welch with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Welch looks back up at him and smiles so Brown waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Paul Welch has been cut.
Welch looks to throw the jab but Brown is out of range.
Brown looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Welch looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Brown ducks right into an uppercut from Welch.
Paul Welch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Despite the aggression on Welch's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Welch lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brown has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brown and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Welch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brown.

Brown throws out a leg kick but Welch moves out of range and Brown only half commits.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Welch! But no joy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Welch's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brown connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Welch scrambles back to his feet.
Brown throws a head kick but Welch moves out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Welch will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!
Brown walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Welch drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Brown swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Welch's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
