Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eagle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Yelisey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yelisey tries to get out of the position.
Eagle wants to control from the top but Yelisey keeps moving.
Eagle passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Eagle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yelisey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Eagle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yelisey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yelisey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Eagle is looking for a triangle but Yelisey pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Eagle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yelisey's guard.

Eagle postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yelisey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Eagle, into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eagle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yelisey is one step ahead there.
Yelisey is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Yelisey is pushing down on Eagle's leg trying to pass to half guard. Eagle is fighting to maintain full guard but Yelisey has managed to sneak the leg through.

Yelisey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eagle defends it well.

Yelisey is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Eagle wants to control but Yelisey is having none of it.
Eagle felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Yelisey postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Eagle badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Yelisey around the waist but Yelisey pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Yelisey is the winner by TKO! Yelisey jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
