The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sidorov shoots for a takedown but Takahara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Takahara is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Sidorov is nestled in close to Takahara, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Takahara felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Sidorov postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Takahara in real trouble here! The ref calls for Takahara to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
