PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miles Fairisles (ranked 3609 p4p, 5038 weight class) and Miguel Garces (ranked 447 p4p, 541 weight class). Garces comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Light into the Darkness kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Garces enables Fairisles to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Garces manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fairisles is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Garces looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fairisles has picked Garces up and slammed him! Garces can't keep hold of the triangle and Fairisles manages to pass to side control!

Fairisles connects with a big shot to the side of Garces's head.
Fairisles has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Garces's body.
Fairisles lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Fairisles is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Fairisles gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Fairisles gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Fairisles apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Fairisles cracks Garces with an uppercut from hell and Garces crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Fairisles's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
