Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tank Thomas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Conrad Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartwright shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cartwright's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Thomas looks to land a left hand but Cartwright moved out of range nicely.
Cartwright takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Thomas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cartwright's head backwards.
Thomas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cartwright is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Thomas scores with a sloppy right hand. Cartwright should have avoided that one.
Cartwright looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cartwright misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cartwright shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thomas as he avoids it easily.
Tank Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conrad Cartwright.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cartwright goes for a double leg but Thomas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thomas continues to drive forward.
Thomas is looking to counter punch.
Thomas seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Thomas drops Cartwright with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cartwright looks back up at him and smiles so Thomas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cartwright is rocked!

It looks like Conrad Cartwright has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thomas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Thomas closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Cartwright out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tank Thomas!
Tank Thomas is the new heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Tank Thomas thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Conrad Cartwright was interviewed post fight and said 'The Cartwright Curse strikes again! The Powers that be just won't allow it apparently.'.
