Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Euan Daxton (ranked 2269 p4p, 4191 weight class) and Gildarts Clive (ranked 328 p4p, 502 weight class). Daxton comes to the cage accompanied by Mr Brightside. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Euan Daxton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gildarts Clive!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clive lands with a cross.
Daxton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Clive scores with a nice right hand.
Clive loads up on a big right hand but Daxton slips the punch.
Daxton clinches with his opponent.
Daxton tries to score a body lock takedown but Clive shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Clive wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Clive wants to get back to striking at distance but Daxton won't allow it.
Daxton keeps control of Clive as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Daxton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Daxton drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Clive gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Euan Daxton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clive manages to break the clinch.
Daxton closes the distance and clinches.
Daxton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A frustrated look appears on Clive's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Daxton pulls guard.
Daxton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Daxton works his way into side control.
Daxton has hold of Clive's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Clive tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Daxton cranks the arm and Clive screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Clive, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Euan Daxton!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Euan Daxton waved his t-shirt featuring Shadow Realm Apparel's logo in front of the cameras.
