Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Mullin (ranked 2719 p4p, 3551 weight class) and Burrito Supreme (ranked 333 p4p, 401 weight class). Herbert Mullin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Herbert Mullin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Burrito Supreme!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supreme throws a head kick that misses.
Supreme darts in looking for a takedown but Mullin gets double underhooks and turns Supreme into the cage.
Burrito Supreme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Supreme fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mullin is out of range.
Mullin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Supreme throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mullin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mullin misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mullin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Supreme's guard.

Mullin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Supreme's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Herbert Mullin will probably get the nod.

Mullin tries to escape but Supreme has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Supreme is trying to stick to Mullin's back but Mullin is turning into Supreme. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Supreme's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mullin.
Supreme controls Mullin momentarily but Mullin frees himself.
Mullin advances to half guard.
Supreme takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Supreme trying to get back to full guard but Mullin takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Mullin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mullin postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Supreme in real trouble here! The ref calls for Supreme to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Herbert Mullin!
