Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandru Mircea (ranked 747 p4p, 672 weight class) and Aron Egomi (ranked 112 p4p, 100 weight class). Egomi has chosen Hand of doom by Manowar as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandru Mircea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aron Egomi!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egomi slips a jab from Mircea.
Mircea tries to land a front kick but Egomi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mircea tries to move into range but Egomi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Egomi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Egomi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Egomi has closed the distance and engaged Mircea in a clinch.
Mircea tries to land knees in the clinch but Egomi avoids the damage to the body.
Mircea lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Egomi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Egomi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Egomi holds on and takes a little breather.

Egomi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mircea can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A close round but Aron Egomi will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mircea throws a low kick but it's checked well by Egomi.
Egomi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Egomi misses the target.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mircea.
Mircea blocks a head kick by Egomi.
Mircea lands with a nice body punch.

Mircea fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Egomi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mircea fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Alexandru Mircea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Egomi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mircea in his tracks.

I would just about give that final round to Aron Egomi.
I think Egomi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
