Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pierre Ragout Mendy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Herrera!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Mendy counters with a left and a right that stings Herrera.
Herrera wants to clinch up but Mendy keeps it at a distance.
Mendy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Herrera's guard.
Mendy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mendy lands a couple of digs.
Mendy stands up over Herrera, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mendy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on Herrera's face as Mendy controls the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mendy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Herrera to see if he's OK.

Herrera takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Mendy is working to tighten his grip on Herrera's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Herrera has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mendy is really squeezing tight and eventually Herrera passes out! Mendy breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
