Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hitoshi Uoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Company (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uoya's entrance music is Requiem For A Dream. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hitoshi Uoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bad Company!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uoya misses with a few strikes there.
Company shoots in but Uoya avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hitoshi Uoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Uoya both land. Nice combination.
Nice jab there from Uoya.
Uoya connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Company momentarily.


Company is rocked!

Uoya is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Company prevents Uoya from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Uoya swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Uoya throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Company showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Uoya.
Uoya tries to bum rush Company with a series of wild strikes but Company uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No joy there for Uoya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Uoya fails to land with a series of punches.
Uoya stuffs the takedown attempt from Company. Company gets slowly back to his feet.
Company slips a jab and a cross from Uoya.
Hitoshi Uoya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Company looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hitoshi Uoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bad Company.

Uoya looks to land a combination but Company avoids it well.
Uoya misses with a series of wild punches.

Company blocks a jab.

Company tries for a takedown but Uoya sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Uoya throws a push kick but Company slaps the foot to one side.
Uoya throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Company.
Uoya throws a right and a left that Company avoids nicely.
Uoya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Company moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Uoya throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Company tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Uoya swivels and escapes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Company fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Uoya thuds a left hand into Company's body.
Company shoots in and drives through. Uoya sprawls well.
Uoya cracks a nice hook into Company's ribs.
Uoya keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Company closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Company is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Company moves nicely into side control.
Uoya is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Company has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Uoya knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Company on the ground.

Company thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Uoya stops Company from passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Company is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Uoya knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Uoya is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Company has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Company tries for a kimura but Uoya is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Company looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Uoya misses with a wild body shot.

Company drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Company working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Company wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uoya keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bad Company will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Uoya throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Uoya stalks Company and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Company's face. Company staggers backwards, shaken.
Company avoids a punch combination nicely.
Uoya scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Uoya misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Uoya takes a swing at Company's ribcage but misses.
Uoya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Company dodges the punch combination from Uoya.
Uoya works Company's body with a nice hook.
Company slips a jab and a cross from Uoya.

Company drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Company is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Uoya knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Company tries to advance to mount but Uoya denies him.
