The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Maestro (0) vs (2) Johnson Maestro works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maestro seems keen to control Johnson's posture. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson keeps trying to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Maestro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Maestro has escaped and now he's on top! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Maestro (2) vs (2) Johnson Johnson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Maestro throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Johnson's body to avoid the submission. Johnson has instead reached around Maestro's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Johnson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
