Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Thorgard (ranked 3239 p4p, 2914 weight class) and Wreed Wrastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wreed Wrastle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bjorn Thorgard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wreed Wrastle! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Chris Dean and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thorgard drives through with a takedown into guard. Wrastle wriggles free and stands up. Thorgard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wrastle manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Wrastle has his feet on Thorgard's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wrastle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Thorgard to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wrastle is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thorgard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Thorgard manages to end up in side control. Thorgard working the body and head with strikes. You can see the frustration on Wrastle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wrastle gets back to half guard. Wrastle desperately trying to maintain half guard. Wrastle gets full guard. Thorgard trying to control the position from guard on top but Wrastle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wrastle looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrastle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thorgard's guard. Thorgard tries to land a sweep but no joy. Thorgard controls Wrastle momentarily but Wrastle frees himself. Thorgard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wrastle is one step ahead there. Thorgard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thorgard tries to get out of the position. Wrastle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wrastle content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Thorgard controls Wrastle momentarily but Wrastle frees himself. Thorgard wants to sweep here but Wrastle controlling him for the moment. Wrastle is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Thorgard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wrastle on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thorgard is trying to keep Wrastle in close.
Wrastle controls from within his opponent's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Thorgard jabs Wrastle right on the nose. Wrastle blinks but takes it well. Wrastle misses with an uppercut. Thorgard changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Thorgard avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Thorgard feinted with a counter takedown. Thorgard works the jab nicely. A slow jab from Thorgard misses its intended target. Wrastle tries to counter with a clinch but Thorgard shakes him off and moves away. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Thorgard dives in and scores a takedown into Wrastle's guard. Thorgard working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Thorgard throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Thorgard throws an elbow that misses. Wrastle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Thorgard's guard. Nice move by Wrastle! Wrastle content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wreed Wrastle dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! A big right from Thorgard misses. Wrastle has a takedown stuffed. Thorgard scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wrastle kicks off Thorgard and gets to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thorgard misses with a looping left. It seemed like Wrastle was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Wrastle counters with a shoot takedown. Thorgard fights it but they end up in guard. Wrastle preventing the sweep. Wrastle engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Wrastle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thorgard's guard. Wrastle wants to pass the guard but Thorgard is defending well. Wrastle is controlling the pace.
Wrastle lands with a punch from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrastle trying to mount his opponent but Thorgard defends it. Wrastle keeps trying to improve his position. My spies in Titan Fitness $180/wk inform me that Wrastle has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Thorgard wants to control but Wrastle is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wrastle stalling. Thorgard wants to get back to full guard. Wrastle wants to free his trapped foot but Thorgard is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wrastle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Wrastle looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Thorgard wants to control but Wrastle is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thorgard is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Thorgard trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Thorgard tries to hold on but Wrastle pushes him away. Thorgard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wrastle sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wrastle avoids the attempt from Thorgard to control. Wrastle has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Thorgard is forced to tap!
