Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24382 p4p, 24303 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Buut's guard. Buut pulls Buktot in close to his closed guard and prevents Buktot from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buktot gets a double leg takedown into Buut's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot controls from within his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Buut is pulling down on Buktot's head. It's preventing any offense from Buktot, at least for the moment. Buktot preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Buktot slips nicely into half guard. Buut wants to control but Buktot is keeping busy and won't allow it. It looks like Buktot is going to stand back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Buut crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Buktot - the referee stops the clock and Buut gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Buktot. Buut manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buktot is defended easily by Buut. Buktot moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBuut.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Buktot is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buut has control of Buktot's left arm, preventing Buktot from doing any damage. Buktot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dawindi Buktot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut trying to keep a closed guard but Buktot is proving a slippery customer.
Buut can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buktot controls the pace. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buktot sprawls well. Buktot wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Buut gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut shoots in for a double leg but Buktot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick. Buut closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Buut lands in his opponent's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Buktot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buut tries to avoid it but Buktot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buut to the ground. Buut escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Buktot shoots in and gets a takedown into Buut's guard. Buktot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Buktot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buut can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut has control of Buktot's left arm, preventing Buktot from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut wants to sweep here but Buktot controlling him for the moment. Buut is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Buut pulls Buktot in close to prevent any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buktot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. As Buktot backs off Buut throws a huge counter combo but Buktot manages to avoid it all. Buut tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buktot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buut somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut drives through with a takedown into guard. Buktot pulls Buut in close to his closed guard and prevents Buut from doing any damage or advancing position. Buktot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut throws a big elbow that misses. Buktot controlling the position. Walay Buut has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot keeping moving, preventing Buut from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dawindi Buktot. Well Buktot has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
