Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albert Blaird (ranked 24655 p4p, 18064 weight class) and Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Albert Blaird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 52 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaird closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Zakrzewski's guard.
Zakrzewski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Blaird tries to free his leg and advance position but Zakrzewski is retaining full guard.
Blaird controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blaird is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Blaird tries a low kick but Zakrzewski avoids it.
Blaird bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Zakrzewski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Blaird is pulling down on Zakrzewski's head. It's preventing any offense from Zakrzewski, at least for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blaird is on top in guard.

Blaird decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zakrzewski, up you get!
Blaird throws a hook to the side of Zakrzewski's head but Zakrzewski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

No joy there for Blaird, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blaird shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Blaird was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Blaird is nestled in close to Zakrzewski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blaird seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Zakrzewski for as long as he can get away with.

Zakrzewski stops Blaird from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Zakrzewski tries to lock up and control but Blaird gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Blaird lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Blaird has hold of Zakrzewski's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zakrzewski manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Blaird throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Zakrzewski escapes and throws Blaird's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Blaird is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Zakrzewski's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Blaird is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zakrzewski is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Blaird to the mat. Blaird regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Blaird throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Zakrzewski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blaird swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Zakrzewski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blaird fires out a quick counter leg kick but Zakrzewski just manages to avoid it.
Blaird closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zakrzewski to the mat! Zakrzewski manages to get full guard.
Zakrzewski is wriggling around but Blaird manages to pass to half guard.
Blaird is pressing down on Zakrzewski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zakrzewski is holding on for now.
Krzysztof Zakrzewski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Albert Blaird is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
