Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andor Seres (ranked 949 p4p, 384 weight class) and Roland Weudke (ranked 129 p4p, 50 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andor Seres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roland Weudke!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weudke looks to score with a jab to the body but Seres is just out of range.
Seres tries to counter with a takedown but Weudke is quick to defend against it.
Weudke misses with a low kick.
Seres half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Weudke throws a leg kick that misses.
Weudke jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Weudke looks to score with a jab to the body but Seres is just out of range.
Roland Weudke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seres bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Seres feinted with a counter takedown.

so Seres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Weudke holds on and takes a little breather.
Seres connects with a couple of short punches.
Seres throws a big right hand that misses.
Weudke wants to control but Seres passes easily into half guard.
Seres is just content to waste time from the top position. Weudke takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Seres content to stall in guard here.
Weudke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seres's guard.

Seres can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Weudke controls the pace.
Seres tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Seres is looking for a triangle but Weudke pushes his legs off easily.
Weudke is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Seres controls Weudke momentarily but Weudke frees himself.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Weudke tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Seres is able to avoid easily.

Seres avoids the body shot from Weudke.
Weudke throws a right hand that misses

and Seres counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Seres.

We've been informed that Weudke has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Weudke shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Seres manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Seres trying to keep a closed guard but Weudke is proving a slippery customer.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Seres counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Seres looking to sit in guard and control but Weudke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Seres seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Weudke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seres has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Weudke has managed to get both his arms back between Seres's legs - danger averted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Weudke throws a poor cross that misses

and Seres counters with a nice double leg into side control. Weudke won't be happy with that.
Weudke is looking to get back to his feet here but Seres is keeping cool and he's managed to take Weudke's back.
Seres has the hooks in. Weudke is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Seres connects with a big shot to the side of Weudke's head.

Weudke has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Seres.

Weudke manages to stand up with Seres still on his back. Eventually Seres drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Weudke.

Weudke is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Seres rather than just go for the knockout.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andor Seres.
I think Seres has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
