enabling Thorsby to counter with a crisp jab.
Thorsby darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Manifesto pushes Thorsby off but Thorsby dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Thorsby throws an elbow but Manifesto slips to the side and avoids it well.

Thorsby has hold of Manifesto's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Manifesto tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Thorsby cranks the arm and Manifesto screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Manifesto, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

After winning the bout, Svend Thorsby thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
