Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thom Tharrier (ranked 22182 p4p, 2387 weight class) and Pablo Noriega (ranked 214 p4p, 68 weight class). Noriega is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by MS-13 Mara Salvatrucha. Pablo Noriega told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 24 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pablo Noriega!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tharrier checks the leg kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Tharrier misses its target.
Noriega connects with a right hand. Tharrier shakes it off.
Tharrier tries to land a body kick
and Noriega counters with a left to the body.
Noriega scores with the left hand. Tharrier knows he should have avoided that one.
Tharrier has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Noriega will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Tharrier swings for the body but Noriega moves out of range.
Noriega lands with a hook. Tharrier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Noriega throws out a leg kick but Tharrier moves out of range and Noriega only half commits.
Tharrier connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Pablo Noriega has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Noriega lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tharrier misses with a left hand
and Noriega connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Noriega paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Noriega misses with a wild body shot.
Tharrier is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Tharrier lands a big right hook! Noriega looks hurt but is still standing! Tharrier lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Noriega falls down and Tharrier dives in with a huge hammer fist! Noriega's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Tharrier runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Thom Tharrier!
