The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin dodges the punch combination from Nunez.

and Nunez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Nunez counters with a left to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Martin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

James Martin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

and Nunez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Martin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nunez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nunez.
Martin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nunez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Martin.
Nunez throws a right and a left that Martin avoids nicely.

Nunez connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Martin tumbling to the canvas! Nunez pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Martin was done - good stoppage!
