The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrana throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vrana throws a head kick that misses
and Godwin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Godwin blocks a head kick by Vrana.
Vrana lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Vrana scores with a jab.
Alois Vrana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vrana misses with a right hand
and Godwin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vrana misses with a head kick.
Godwin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canadian Combat Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Vrana.
Godwin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Vrana throws a head kick that misses.
Vrana throws the left hand but Godwin avoids the punch easily.
Godwin throws a right hand that Vrana ducks under and follows up with a left that Vrana also avoids with ease.
Godwin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vrana takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A head kick from Vrana lands but Godwin takes it in his stride.
Godwin throws a head kick but Vrana moves out of range.
Godwin connects with a right that clearly hurt Vrana. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Godwin proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Vrana collapses and taps out under the pressure!
