Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Balthazar Baker (ranked 619 p4p, 970 weight class) and John Edmonds (ranked 90 p4p, 143 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Edmonds's choice of entrance music: Frankie Smith - Double Dutch Bus. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Edmonds was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Edmonds.
Edmonds lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Edmonds jabbing away but nothing is landing.
As Edmonds tries to get set, Baker tries to push him back and clinch up but Edmonds manages to avoid the attempt.
Baker shoots and misses
and Baker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Edmonds has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Edmonds throws a hook but Baker blocks it.
Baker has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Baker there as he acknowledges the shot.
Edmonds clobbers Baker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Edmonds lunges at Baker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Baker's hand.
Edmonds smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sloppy strikes from Baker. Those never looked like landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A decent looking cross lands there for Edmonds.
Edmonds dips to his left and cracks Baker with an uppercut!

Edmonds throws out a counter right but Baker avoids it with no problem.

Edmonds rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Baker is rocked!
Edmonds flashes Baker a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Baker's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Baker crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Edmonds punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
