The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shabanov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Fedor Shabanov has been cut.
Shabanov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Crixus The Gaul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as The Gaul lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shabanov doesn't seem phased though.
Shabanov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The Gaul looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Shabanov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shabanov misses with a looping left.
The Gaul throws a leg kick but Shabanov sees it coming and moves out of range.
Shabanov seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

and The Gaul takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The Gaul connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The Gaul feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shabanov sprawling to the canvas! Shabanov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can The Gaul finish him?!
Shabanov is rocked!
The Gaul shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Shabanov takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - The Gaul sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Shabanov bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
