Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Butterscotch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Morty Horowitz! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butterscotch tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Horowitz defends well and Butterscotch ends up having to push Horowitz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Butterscotch is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Horowitz to keep the fight standing. Horowitz is trying to drag Butterscotch to the mat but Butterscotch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Horowitz lands a hook that snaps the head of Butterscotch backwards. Butterscotch tries to pull guard but Horowitz forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Butterscotch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horowitz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Horowitz manages to end up in side control. Horowitz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Butterscotch manages to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Butterscotch makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Butterscotch. Butterscotch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Horowitz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Butterscotch is tightening it up a little... Horowitz has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Horowitz reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Horowitz taps out! Nice BJJ there by Butterscotch!
