Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reni Manfield (ranked 292 p4p, 463 weight class) and Frederick Zwirn (ranked 46 p4p, 70 weight class). Frederick Zwirn will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reni Manfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frederick Zwirn! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zwirn misses with a body shot.
Donk. Manfield catches Zwirn right on the button with a cross. Zwirn throws a shot from downtown. Manfield moves away and avoids it. Manfield gets the takedown into side control. Manfield has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sloppy strikes there by Manfield. Manfield wants to control for a moment but Zwirn uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Zwirn tries to roll over but Manfield keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manfield is looking to advance position but Zwirn won't allow it. Manfield thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zwirn's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manfield missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Zwirn wants to get back to full guard. Zwirn won't allow Manfield to pass to mount. Manfield is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Well, if Manfield is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Manfield works his way into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zwirn prevents Manfield from moving into mount. Manfield advances to full mount. Manfield misses with a head shot. Manfield controlling from mount. Manfield misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Manfield working for a guillotine from mount but Zwirn is in no mood to give up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zwirn can do anything to dispel that myth. Manfield landing strikes from the mount and Zwirn is in trouble!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Manfield is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Zwirn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Zwirn is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Manfield working for a guillotine from mount but Zwirn is in no mood to give up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Manfield trying to control but Zwirn is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Reni Manfield dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Manfield throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zwirn sees it coming and avoids it easily. Manfield sets himself, and Zwirn steps forward looking for the clinch! Manfield avoids it this time. Manfield walks into a left hand. Zwirn works over Manfield's head and body with a nice combination. Zwirn tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Manfield throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Manfield misses the shot to the body. Manfield missing with a left hand there. Zwirn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Zwirn stuffs the takedown attempt from Manfield. Manfield gets slowly back to his feet. Manfield throws a half hearted mid kick. Zwirn tries to counter with a clinch but Manfield shakes him off and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manfield swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Manfield drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sloppy strikes from Manfield. Those never looked like landing. Manfield decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Manfield lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zwirn is not content to let Manfield control the position. Manfield is taking a breather. Zwirn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Manfield is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Manfield not doing much here.
Manfield working the head and body with strikes. Manfield looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Zwirn tries to get to full guard but Manfield has control of the leg. Zwirn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manfield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zwirn is refusing to be controlled, as Manfield sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manfield looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Zwirn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Manfield. Manfield controlling the action here. Zwirn tries to roll over but Manfield keeps him under control. Manfield seems to be working for a kimura but Zwirn defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Manfield working Zwirn over with strikes. Manfield sitting and controlling from the half guard. Manfield is trying to control the action in half guard but Zwirn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zwirn is looking to control Manfield's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Zwirn avoid being mounted?
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Zwirn checks the leg kick. Manfield displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zwirn throws out the jab. A jab from Manfield misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Reni Manfield dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Manfield shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zwirn is trying to defend but Manfield finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Manfield stalling. Manfield trying to control the action but Zwirn is working from the bottom. Zwirn felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Manfield cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Zwirn tries to reverse the position but Manfield maintains control. Manfield can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zwirn is looking to escape. Zwirn blocking the ground and pound. Manfield punching from mount but Zwirn doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manfield wants to control the pace but Zwirn is squirming around nicely. Manfield thowing shots but they're missing. Manfield looking to secure an arm triangle but Zwirn defends it well. Manfield can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zwirn is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manfield lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Manfield postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zwirn looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Manfield working for a guillotine from mount but Zwirn is in no mood to give up. BOOM! Manfield connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Zwirn is working to get back to half guard.
Manfield lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Zwirn has left one of his arms exposed and Manfield doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Zwirn screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Reni Manfield! During a confident post fight interview, Reni Manfield thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
