And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnell scores with the left hand. Nucombe knows he should have avoided that one.
Nucombe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McConnell.
Nucombe wants to counter with a clinch but McConnell pushes him away.
McConnell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McConnell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nucombe on the side of the head.
Nucombe tries to move into range but McConnell moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nucombe scores with a hook to the body. McConnell takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McConnell lands with an uppercut that bounces Nucombe off the cage and back into range.
Nucombe looks winded!
McConnell catches Nucombe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nucombe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nucombe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nucombe is still on wobbly legs! Can McConnell finish him?
McConnell closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Nucombe! McConnell dives in looking to finish! Nucombe is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Dalton McConnell decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
