Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steel Adams (ranked 2564 p4p, 4929 weight class) and Kong Ko (ranked 324 p4p, 439 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steel Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kong Ko !
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Adams lands a jab to Ko 's midsection.
Ko tries to clinch but Adams moves out of range.
Ko throws a body punch but Adams moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Adams misses the target.
Adams works the jab nicely.
Adams moves into range and clinches up with Ko .
Ko tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Adams lands with a short head shot on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ko has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Adams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Adams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Adams darts in and clinches Ko up against the cage.
Adams takes an elbow to the temple.
Adams lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Adams digs a right hand underneath Ko 's ribcage. Ko let out a lung full of air as it connected.
I was talking to Adams's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Adams just leaning against Ko , taking a breather.
Adams will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ko up against the cage.
Ko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Adams clinches.
Adams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Adams misses with a two punch combination.
Ko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Adams as he jumps to the side.
Adams closes the distance and clinches.
Adams taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Ko goes for a takedown attempt but Adams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Steel Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kong Ko .
Ko closes the distance but Adams moves to the side
enabling Adams to counter with a crisp jab.
Ko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adams connects with a single shot there.
Adams darts in and clinches Ko up against the cage.
Adams slows down the pace here.
Ko has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Adams after a bit of a struggle.
Ko tries to pull guard but Adams holds him up against the cage and eventually Ko drops back down to his feet.
Adams keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ko 's efforts to push away.
Ko tries to score a body lock takedown but Adams shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Adams lands on the inside with an uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ko takes a shot to the head.
Ko goes for a takedown attempt but Adams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Adams drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ko right on the button. Ko goes down! Adams follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Adams gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steel Adams!
Steel Adams decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
