Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Balthazar Bolleke (ranked 587 p4p, 1705 weight class) and Aljosa Medeiros (ranked 89 p4p, 235 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Balthazar Bolleke has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Balthazar Bolleke seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Balthazar Bolleke!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aljosa Medeiros!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolleke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Medeiros has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bolleke misses with a looping left.
Medeiros let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Medeiros throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bolleke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Medeiros.
It looked like Bolleke wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bolleke jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bolleke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Medeiros manages to avoid it.
Medeiros smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Medeiros ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bolleke moves away.
Medeiros misses with a wild body shot.
Medeiros lands a slapping body shot.
Nice cross by Medeiros.
Medeiros throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Medeiros waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bolleke.
Bolleke throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Medeiros was covering up waiting for the punch and Bolleke finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bolleke pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Medeiros is keeping the position for now.

Bolleke won't allow Medeiros to sweep him here.
Bolleke's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bolleke wants to control from the top but Medeiros keeps moving.
Medeiros has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bolleke doesn't defend quickly enough and Medeiros has managed to lock this one up! Can Bolleke escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Medeiros on a fantastic submission victory.
