This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 13 losses; Lance Walker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Dani Gerbandi! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Gerbandi pushes Walker up against the cage in a clinch. Gerbandi gets underhooks to prevent Walker's takedown attempt.
Gerbandi drags the fight down to the ground.
Gerbandi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walker controls the pace. Walker preventing the sweep. Walker looking to pass the guard. Walker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Gerbandi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Walker controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Further stalling from Walker. Walker postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker pushes down on Gerbandi's leg and manages to get into half guard. Walker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gerbandi keeps working. Gerbandi is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gerbandi controlling the position for now. Gerbandi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Walker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Walker is stinking the place up with his stalling. Gerbandi trying to control but Walker postures up.
Walker is taking a breather. Gerbandi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Gerbandi is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker slows the pace down in half guard. Walker is trying to control the action in half guard but Gerbandi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gerbandi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Walker controlling the pace. Walker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. This is a sustained period of stalling by Walker. Gerbandi works his way to full guard. Good work.

Gerbandi wants to sweep but no luck. Gerbandi keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully. Walker content to stall in guard here. Gerbandi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gerbandi tries to roll over but Walker keeps him under control. Walker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Walker stays in close to Gerbandi's body and controls the position. Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Gerbandi is retaining full guard. Gerbandi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gerbandi is tightening it up a little... Walker has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Walker reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Walker taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gerbandi!
