Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Keisuke Matsuzaka! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andor Seres! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seres slips under a jab. Seres throws a solid leg kick but Matsuzaka takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Seres. Seres has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Matsuzaka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Matsuzaka misses with a low kick.
Matsuzaka digs a good body shot into Seres's ribs. Matsuzaka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Matsuzaka wants it to stay on the feet. Matsuzaka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Seres turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Seres gets the takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Seres throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Seres looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Matsuzaka is avoiding damage well.

Andor Seres dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Matsuzaka throws a body punch but Seres moves out of range. Matsuzaka lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Matsuzaka misses with an uppercut. Matsuzaka stuffs the takedown attempt from Seres. Seres gets slowly back to his feet. Matsuzaka was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Seres getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Matsuzaka bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Seres's head. Seres lands an overhand right. Seres throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Seres throws a leg kick but Matsuzaka sees it coming and checks it nicely. Seres displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Matsuzaka throws out the jab. Matsuzaka slips under a jab from Seres. A quick step to the side and Matsuzaka tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Matsuzaka takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Matsuzaka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Seres manages to avoid it. Despite the aggression on Seres's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Donk. Seres catches Matsuzaka right on the button with a cross. Seres thows a leg kick but Matsuzaka checks it and Matsuzaka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsuzaka throws a push kick but Seres slaps the foot to one side. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Seres throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Matsuzaka on the side of the head. Seres lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Keisuke Matsuzaka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Matsuzaka slips under a jab. Seres throws a nice outside leg kick. Matsuzaka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Seres misses with a hook. Matsuzaka scores with a jab to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Seres. Matsuzaka pivots, looking for a leg kick but Seres is out of range and Matsuzaka settles back down. That was a close second round but I would say that Keisuke Matsuzaka will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. Seres looking to control but Matsuzaka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Matsuzaka takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Matsuzaka is looking to get to half guard. Seres breaks from Matsuzaka's wrist control and lands an elbow. Oh Matsuzaka is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Seres lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Seres landing strikes, looking to finish! Seres postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Matsuzaka badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Seres around the waist but Seres pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Seres is the winner by TKO! Seres jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
