This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 26 wins and 30 losses; Pavel Savkov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 7 losses; Khaba Dagestanskiy!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Dagestanskiy has taken the fight to the clinch.

Savkov decides to pull guard.

Dagestanskiy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Savkov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dagestanskiy has managed to get both his arms back between Savkov's legs - danger averted.
Dagestanskiy told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Savkov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dagestanskiy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Savkov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Dagestanskiy has tightened it up now! Savkov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
