Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gio Jazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marx comes to the cage accompanied by Ramstein - Du Hast. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathan Marx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gio Jazz! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marx keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jazz shoots in for a takedown but Marx shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jazz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marx as he avoids it easily. Jonathan Marx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gio Jazz. Marx gets caught flat footed, as Jazz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Marx on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marx tries to get out of the position. Marx lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jazz has eaten all the pies! Jazz is desperately trying to improve his position but Marx has a good base and remains in mount. Despite being in the dominant position, Gio Jazz just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jazz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marx circles away. Marx moves out of range of the strikes. Jazz stuffs the takedown attempt from Marx. Marx gets slowly back to his feet. Marx shoots in looking for a takedown. Jazz tries to sprawl out of it but Marx keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jazz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jazz throws a series of punches but Marx moves out of range. Marx closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Marx connects with a knee to the head.

Gio Jazz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marx closes the distance and clinches up with Jazz, looking for a takedown. Marx pushes Jazz against the cage but Jazz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jazz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jazz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Marx escapes and throws Jazz's legs to the side, diving into side control! Jazz sneaks back into half guard. Jazz manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jazz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marx defends well.

Jazz throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Marx wants to control from the top but Jazz keeps moving. Jazz working for a triangle but Marx defends it easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jonathan Marx will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
