Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24293 p4p, 24209 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulata Bitok has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot gets a double leg takedown into Bitok's guard. Buktot sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bitok looking to control.
Bitok managing to control the position. Buktot throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bitok looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buktot is one step ahead there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bitok keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bitok follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buktot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bitok looks to throw a body kick and Buktot counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Buktot gets the takedown into side control. Buktot controls the position. Bitok wants to control but Buktot postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot happy to just control the position for now. Buktot is looking to take a break and control but Bitok is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Buktot taking a breather here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bitok on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Bitok tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Buktot wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot moves out of range of the body kick from Bitok.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Bitok shoots in for a takedown but Buktot shows good takedown defense. Buktot fails with a takedown attempt. Bitok now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Buktot tries to sprawl but Bitok drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot has his hands clasped together around Bitok's back. He's all about the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot gets back to full guard.
Buktot pulls Bitok in close to his closed guard and prevents Bitok from doing any damage or advancing position. Bitok looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buktot pulls Bitok in to control the position. Buktot can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bitok controls the pace. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bitok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bitok drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok's corner is telling him to maintain position. Buktot seems keen to control Bitok's posture. Bitok sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buktot controlling Bitok's posture. Bitok stopping the sweep attempt from Buktot. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot has Bitok pulled in close to control his posture.

Kulata Bitok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Buktot shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bitok defends it nicely. Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Buktot tries to keep at a distance but Bitok has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Buktot is trying to trip Bitok. He has hold of a leg but Bitok is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Buktot persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bitok holds on and takes a little breather. Buktot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bitok seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Buktot showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

And Bitok responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bitok shoots for a takedown but Buktot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Buktot appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Buktot shoots in looking for a takedown but Bitok manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buktot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bitok throws a counter combo. Bitok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bitok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
