Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23734 p4p, 24220 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Libat closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Buut's guard. Libat seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Buut looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Libat content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Buut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Libat looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buut slaps away a takedown attempt from Libat, before circling back to the center of the mat. Despite the aggression on Buut's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Libat dives in for a single leg takedown but Buut sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Buut is trying to counter with his kicks. Buut tries to score a body lock takedown but Libat shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Libat wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Libat has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Buut regains guard immediately.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut controlling Libat's posture. Buut's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Buut is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Libat is fighting to break Buut's control of his arms but Buut is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buut wants to sweep here but Libat controlling him for the moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut is controlling Libat's posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Buut shoots in but no luck this time. Libat blocks the body kick.
It appears Libat was looking to counter with a kick there. Buut throws a body kick that misses. And Libat counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. Libat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Buut keeping hold of Libat's head, controlling as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Libat content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Libat seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Buut for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Libat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Libat but Libat pushes him off and we're back to square one. Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Buut shoots in looking for a takedown. Libat tries to sprawl out of it but Buut keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Libat manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Libat jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buut shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Libat pinned against the cage. Libat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Libat on his heels. He'll look to pass Libat's guard now, I'm sure. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Libat. Libat gets slowly back to his feet. Libat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Buut. Buut fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. And Libat counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Libat on his heels. He'll look to pass Libat's guard now, I'm sure. Libat wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Libat's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Buut trying to control the position from guard on top but Libat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Libat has his hands on Buut's head, controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Buut controlling from the top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buut throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Libat is looking to counter with a body kick. Libat gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Libat wants to sweep here but Buut controlling him for the moment. Buut is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Walay Buut has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Higanti Libat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Libat is pulling down on Buut's head. It's preventing any offense from Buut, at least for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Libat has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
