Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monty Milano (ranked 740 p4p, 1085 weight class) and Matt Cooper (ranked 33 p4p, 45 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monty Milano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Cooper! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milano swings widly with a right hand
and Cooper counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Milano scores with a jab to the body. Milano with a nice cross.
It looks like Matt Cooper has been cut. Cooper slips under a jab. Cooper moves out of range of the strikes. Milano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cooper takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Cooper throws a jab when Milano was well out of range. Cooper misses with a straight left. Cooper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Milano.
A swing and a miss from Cooper. Milano comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cooper walks into a stiff left hand from Milano. Milano keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cooper. Milano fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Milano misses with a straight left. Milano throws a right and a left that both miss. Cooper lands a right hook to the body.
Milano rushes Cooper and presses him up against the cage. Cooper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milano ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Milano swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Milano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cooper.
Milano throws a looping overhand right but Cooper ducks down to avoid it. Milano throws a jab when Cooper was well out of range. Monty Milano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cooper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Milano manages to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Milano. Cooper does a little dance to reset his feet. Cooper uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Milano. Cooper throws out a counter right but Milano avoids it with no problem. Milano lands a nice looking body shot.

and Cooper counters with a straight right hand. Milano moves away from the strike by Cooper. Milano slips a straight right by Cooper. Cooper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good shot there by Cooper. Milano slips a straight right by Cooper. It looked like Milano wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Cooper gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cooper misses with an uppercut. Milano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Milano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cooper looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cooper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Milano.
Milano looks to land a combination but Cooper avoids it well. Milano uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cooper. Milano throws a hook but Cooper blocks it. Cooper misses with a wild body shot. Cooper drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Milano tries to improve position but can't. Milano looks to move to half guard but instead Cooper has passed into mount! Damn! Milano in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. My spies in 3Band MMA inform me that Cooper has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Milano tries to lock up and control but Cooper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Milano is working to get back to half guard.
Cooper cracks Milano with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Milano wants to control but Cooper is having none of it. Cooper punishing his opponent with strikes. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Milano tries to hold on but Cooper pushes him away. Cooper has control of Milano's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Milano regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Milano tries to reverse the position but Cooper maintains control. Milano controls the position. Cooper avoids the attempt from Milano to control. Cooper looking to control but Milano is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cooper might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Milano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Milano keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cooper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Milano is working hard here to advance position. Cooper landing shots from mount. Cooper lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cooper landing shots from mount. Milano tries to hold on but Cooper postures up. Cooper punishing his opponent with strikes.
Milano is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cooper drops a big elbow. That's hurt Milano! More shots from Cooper and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
