Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keenwah Granes (ranked 780 p4p, 1510 weight class) and Lito Alcala (ranked 44 p4p, 86 weight class). Granes comes into the arena with 敢不敢 blaring out of the sound system. Alcala is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: MORTAL KOMBAT. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcala scores with a punch to the head.
Granes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Alcala can pounce on him.
Alcala thows a leg kick but Granes checks it
enabling Granes to counter with a crisp jab.
Granes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alcala.
Granes moves forwards but Alcala connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Alcala throws a predictable looking body shot
and Granes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Alcala is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Granes.

Alcala throws a lazy right hand but Granes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Granes looks to score with a jab to the body but Alcala is just out of range.
Alcala lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Granes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lito Alcala is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Granes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Alcala's head backwards.
Alcala scores with a leg kick.
Granes misses with a hook. Alcala ducked under it nicely.
Granes lands with a cross.
Alcala throws a front kick aimed at Granes's knee but Granes avoids it well.
Alcala scores with a nice strike.
Alcala stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lito Alcala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Granes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alcala has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Granes looks for a takedown but Alcala sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alcala wants to land a leg kick but Granes is out of range.

and Alcala counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Alcala throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Granes. Alcala does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alcala throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Granes on the side of the head.

Granes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alcala defends it nicely.

Alcala throws an overhand right that lands on Granes's shoulder, as Granes tries to avoid the shot.
Alcala rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Granes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alcala lands a glancing blow to the side of Granes's head.
Alcala fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Granes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Granes throws a big shot that misses.
Horrible takedown attempt by Granes or perhaps it was just good defense by Alcala, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keenwah Granes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alcala throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice inside leg kick there by Alcala. That's going to slow Granes down.

It looks like Keenwah Granes has been cut.
Granes fails to land the takedown.
Granes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Alcala counters with a nice uppercut.
Alcala goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Alcala throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Granes counters with a nice body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Granes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Granes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Alcala misses the body punch
and Granes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Alcala scores with a three punch combo!
Alcala does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Granes lands a lovely overhand right.

and Granes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Granes misses with a body shot
and Alcala counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Granes is rocked!
Granes switches off momentarily and Alcala cracks him with a monster right hand! Granes topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Alcala dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Alcala!
