Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Murilo Ninja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dean Howard!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Howard throws a body punch but Ninja moves out of range.
Ninja appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Ninja closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Howard quickly recovers to half guard.
Well, if Ninja is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've been hearing that Ninja has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Howard moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ninja is fighting to break Howard's control of his arms but Howard is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Howard is pressing down on Ninja's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ninja's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Ninja is nestled in close to Howard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ninja seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Howard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Howard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ninja lands a nice short elbow.

Ninja shoots in and bounces Howard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Howard has his foot on Ninja's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ninja works his way back into a safe position though.

Ninja is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Howard can do to turn this around?
Ninja looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Howard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ninja wants to pass to mount but Howard is defending the position.

Howard tries to reverse the position but Ninja maintains control.

Howard takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ninja's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
