The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wu shoots in and gets a takedown into Brousard's guard.
Brousard keeping moving, preventing Wu from controlling successfully.
Wu scoring with some ground and pound.
Wu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brousard's head.
Wu lands a couple of elbows.
Wu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brousard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wu postures up in Brousard's guard and throws a big left but Brousard blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wu is trying to keep Brousard in close.
Brousard wants to control from the top but Wu keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brousard's guard.

Wu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brousard has momentary wrist control but Wu slips an elbow through the middle.
Wu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Wu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Wu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brousard knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brousard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wu is putting a hurting on Brousard here, landing some big shots from side control.

Brousard is not content to let Wu control the position.
Wu connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Brousard some visible discomfort.
Brousard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Wu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brousard keeps working.
Brousard looks winded!

Wu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brousard knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wu is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Brousard is trying to escape and Wu transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Brousard is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wu! Very nice indeed!
