Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quandale Dingle (ranked 4587 p4p, 4156 weight class) and Ivan Jacobsen (ranked 0 p4p, 475 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quandale Dingle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Jacobsen!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobsen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dingle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jacobsen somewhat.
Dingle lands a right hook to the body.
Jacobsen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dingle.

Jacobsen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jacobsen showed some decent athleticism there.
Dingle is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jacobsen in particular looking to stall.
Jacobsen is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jacobsen wants to control from the top but Dingle keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jacobsen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Jacobsen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dingle sprawls well. Dingle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jacobsen gets slowly back to his feet.
Dingle misses with the combination.
Dingle feints a jab promting Jacobsen to slip. Dingle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jacobsen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
We've been told by Dingle's head coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jacobsen shoots in but Dingle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Quandale Dingle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Jacobsen.
Dingle's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dingle duly obliges.

Dingle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No joy there for Dingle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jacobsen tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Jacobsen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dingle defends it nicely.
Dingle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dingle throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dingle is breathing heavily.
Dingle tries to bum rush Jacobsen with a series of wild strikes but Jacobsen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Quandale Dingle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacobsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dingle's waist but Dingle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jacobsen off to one side.
Jacobsen moves out of range of the strikes.
Jacobsen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dingle falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jacobsen counters with a nice uppercut.

Jacobsen needs to keep his hands up - Dingle had a free shot at his head there.
Dingle slaps away a takedown attempt from Jacobsen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dingle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Jacobsen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jacobsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dingle tries to avoid it but Jacobsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dingle to the ground. Dingle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jacobsen slips under a jab.
It seemed like Jacobsen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dingle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jacobsen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Dingle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jacobsen eats them both and turns towards Dingle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Dingle moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dingle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jacobsen can do to turn this around?

Dingle gets caught napping as Jacobsen dives in and scores a takedown. Dingle manages to retain guard.
Jacobsen wants to pass the guard but Dingle is keeping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jacobsen forces his way into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dingle is not content to let Jacobsen control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jacobsen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dingle sees it coming and defends easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jacobsen in particular looking to stall.

Jacobsen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dingle is looking to escape.

Ivan Jacobsen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jacobsen throwing strikes here but Dingle is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Jacobsen goes for an armbar but Dingle turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dingle.

Dingle gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jacobsen darts in looking for a takedown but Dingle gets double underhooks and turns Jacobsen into the cage.

Jacobsen shoots in looking for a takedown. Dingle tries to sprawl out of it but Jacobsen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dingle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Quandale Dingle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Jacobsen.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dingle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Dingle has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jacobsen is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Jacobsen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dingle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jacobsen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dingle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobsen on the ground.

Jacobsen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dingle rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jacobsen's guard! Nice work there by Dingle!
Quandale Dingle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dingle decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jacobsen, up you get!
Dingle connects with a body shot.
Dingle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dingle throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dingle!
Dingle throws a series of punches but Jacobsen avoids them all with ease.
Jacobsen fails with the takedown.

And that's the end of the fight!
Quandale Dingle showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dingle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
