The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkinson connects with a right hand. Guerreiro shakes it off.
Fred Guerreiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Atkinson tries to bum rush Guerreiro with a series of wild strikes but Guerreiro uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like Fred Guerreiro has been cut.
Guerreiro takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Atkinson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Atkinson uses his free foot to push down on Guerreiro's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guerreiro.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
