Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Guerreiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Atkinson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atkinson connects with a right hand. Guerreiro shakes it off. Fred Guerreiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Atkinson tries to bum rush Guerreiro with a series of wild strikes but Guerreiro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Guerreiro has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Fred Guerreiro has been cut. Guerreiro takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Guerreiro takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A punch combination from Atkinson misses. Atkinson looks to land a combination. Guerreiro sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Left hook, right uppercut from Atkinson. This has been an exciting period of action! Atkinson punishes Guerreiro's body with a nice straight punch. Guerreiro avoids the head kick by Atkinson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guerreiro walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Atkinson lands a jab-cross combination. Atkinson fails to land with a series of punches.
Atkinson works Guerreiro's body with a nice hook. Atkinson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Atkinson throws a right hand that Guerreiro ducks under and follows up with a left that Guerreiro also avoids with ease. Atkinson throws a nice looking combination but Guerreiro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jab by Atkinson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guerreiro moves out of range of the body kick. Atkinson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Guerreiro gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Atkinson lands a nice hook to Guerreiro's body. Guerreiro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Guerreiro is breathing heavily. Guerreiro checks the leg kick. A solid body kick from Atkinson. Atkinson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Atkinson throws a body kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkinson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Atkinson with a nice cross. Atkinson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Atkinson throws a one two combo.
Atkinson cracks Guerreiro with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Atkinson is working the combinations to good effect here. Atkinson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Guerreiro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Atkinson shoots in and bounces Guerreiro off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Atkinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Guerreiro is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atkinson is stalling in the full guard. Atkinson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Guerreiro has a closed guard, preventing Atkinson from standing up. Atkinson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Guerreiro is working an open guard so Atkinson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Atkinson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fred Guerreiro's cut. That's time! Guerreiro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Atkinson lands a jab to the nose. Atkinson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Atkinson works over Guerreiro's head and body with a nice combination. Guerreiro misses with a takedown and Atkinson counters with a series of strikes. Guerreiro will be more careful next time no doubt. Atkinson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Guerreiro backs up against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guerreiro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guerreiro with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Atkinson to score with a decent uppercut. Some wild striking there from Atkinson.
A nice leg kick lands there from Atkinson. Fred Guerreiro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Atkinson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Atkinson throws a one two combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guerreiro with a lazy takedown attempt and Atkinson counters with a head kick. That will keep Guerreiro thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Guerreiro on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Atkinson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Guerreiro is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A clash of legs there as Guerreiro blocks the low kick. Danga de danga de dang - Atkinson scores with a four punch combination! Atkinson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Atkinson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Atkinson trying to mount his opponent but Guerreiro defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkinson uses his free foot to push down on Guerreiro's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guerreiro. Atkinson controlling from mount. Atkinson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Guerreiro working to try and regain half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Atkinson looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Atkinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Fred Guerreiro's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Atkinson scores with a one two! Guerreiro had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Atkinson throws a low kick but Guerreiro avoids it. Atkinson misses with a wild combination.
Guerreiro has his takedown stuffed and Atkinson counters with a straight right hand. Guerreiro has his takedown stuffed and Atkinson counters with a two punch combo. Guerreiro looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atkinson lands a left and a right that sends Guerreiro crashing to the canvas! Atkinson dives into mount looking to finish! Oh Guerreiro is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Atkinson controlling his opponent. Guerreiro seems to have got his legs back now. This has been an exciting period of action! Guerreiro working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Atkinson prevents Guerreiro from getting the reversal. Atkinson controlling from mount. Guerreiro tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Atkinson controlling from the full mount.

Jack Atkinson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Guerreiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Atkinson lands with an uppercut that bounces Guerreiro off the cage and back into rage.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Atkinson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Atkinson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
