Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Dude (ranked 2704 p4p, 2720 weight class) and Corwin Anstey (ranked 340 p4p, 341 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Dude!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dude rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anstey moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anstey dives in and grabs Dude's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dude pushes down on Anstey's head and hops out.
Dude throws a lazy uppercut
and Anstey counters with a one-two to the body.
Dude tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anstey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And Anstey tries to counter it with a takedown but Dude pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dude misses with a double jab

and Anstey counters with a takedown into side control.
Dude wants to get back to his feet but Anstey is dominant here and he's now got Dude's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dude trying to get back to his feet but Anstey is in full control for now.
Anstey controls the position.
Anstey looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dude avoids the strikes from Anstey.
Anstey is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Dude is trying to get back to his feet but Anstey has full control of the position and if anything, Dude has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Dude trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

It looks like Anstey might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Dude trying to get back to his feet but Anstey is in full control for now.

Even with his hooks in, Anstey manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Anstey is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Anstey controlling well, preventing Dude from escaping the position.
Anstey just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dude wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anstey controlling from the back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Corwin Anstey dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Dude misses with a straight right.
Dude misses with a two punch combination.
Anstey changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Anstey scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Corwin Anstey has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anstey stops Dude from getting back to his feet.
Anstey is controlling the pace.
Anstey has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dude squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Dude is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

You get the feeling that Dude really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Anstey won't let Dude get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Anstey content just to control the position here.
Let's hope that Anstey has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Anstey scoring with strikes but Dude is staying in there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anstey landing shots from mount.
Anstey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Corwin Anstey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Dude tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Anstey gets the takedown into side control.
Dude parries the strikes from Anstey easily there. Anstey is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dude to escape.
Anstey cracks Dude with a big right hand but Dude just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Dude takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Anstey landing a few strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lull in the action here.
Anstey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Dude is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Anstey slows the pace down.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Anstey is continuing to stall.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dude misses the shot to the body.
Dude throws a series of punches but Anstey moves out of range.

Dude gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anstey to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dude is wriggling around but Anstey manages to pass to half guard.

Anstey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dude is trying to stand up here but Anstey is controlling him well.
The Dude has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Anstey sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Anstey is nestled in close to Dude, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Corwin Anstey is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Dude pushes Anstey off but Anstey dives into side control.
Dude is trying to strike from the bottom but Anstey has passed into full mount.

I've got Anstey winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
