And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Sero Trdatyan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Renard has Trdatyan up against the cage in a clinch.
Trdatyan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Renard gets control of Trdatyan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Renard will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Trdatyan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Renard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Renard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Renard!

Renard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Renard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Renard content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Renard is looking to work his way around to Trdatyan's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Renard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Renard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Trdatyan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Trdatyan!

Trdatyan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
