Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Doigeland (ranked 4016 p4p, 4036 weight class) and Jerry Hammerstein (ranked 347 p4p, 348 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Doigeland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Hammerstein! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Doigeland uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hammerstein.
A counter left hand to the body from Doigeland misses its target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doigeland waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hammerstein. It seemed like Hammerstein was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A looping hook to the body misses from Doigeland. Hammerstein does a little dance to reset his feet. A countering left hand to the body from Hammerstein misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammerstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doigeland moves away. A counter left hand to the body from Doigeland misses its target. Doigeland moves out of range as Hammerstein strikes. A decent looking cross lands there for Doigeland. Doigeland keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hammerstein swings for the body but Doigeland moves out of range.
It looked like Doigeland was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hammerstein. Doigeland swings for the body but Hammerstein moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hammerstein! But no joy. Doigeland swings for the body but Hammerstein moves out of range.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Doigeland swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Doigeland showed his dominance in that final round. Well Doigeland has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
