Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Pervitin (ranked 2157 p4p, 2322 weight class) and Brock Dredd (ranked 290 p4p, 315 weight class). Dredd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wake up the Town kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Brock Dredd enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd misses the shot to the body.
Pervitin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dredd.
Pervitin slips a straight right by Dredd.
Dredd scores with a jab.
Dredd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pervitin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dredd throws the left hand but Pervitin avoids the punch easily.
Pervitin attempts a counter takedown but Dredd avoids it well and moves away.

Pervitin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dredd wants to sweep here but Pervitin controlling him for the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pervitin passes Dredd's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Pervitin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dredd's head.
Dredd is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pervitin wants to free his trapped foot but Dredd is holding on for dear life with his legs.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dredd can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dredd manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Pervitin working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pervitin is on top in guard.

Pervitin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pervitin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dredd tries to improve his position but Pervitin has taken his back! Pervitin has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Dredd tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Pervitin pushes Dredd away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
