Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Jamieson (ranked 24710 p4p, 4496 weight class) and Shufoji Lomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamieson comes into the arena with Clawfinger - Biggest & The Best blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shufoji Lomas!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lomas is looking to take a break and control but Jamieson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lomas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

You can see the frustration on Jamieson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jamieson holds on and takes a little breather.
Lomas is working Jamieson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lomas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lomas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jamieson's guard.
Lomas is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jamieson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lomas on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Lomas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jamieson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lomas somewhat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lomas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lomas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jamieson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lomas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jamieson.
Jamieson lands an overhand right.
Jamieson with a nice calf kick.
Lomas shoots in for a takedown but Jamieson shows good takedown defense.
Lawrence Jamieson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shufoji Lomas.
Jamieson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jamieson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lomas off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jamieson rushes Lomas and presses him up against the cage.
