Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xerxes Whittaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nigel Stricter!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stricter has a takedown stuffed.

Stricter instigates a clinch.
Whittaker is trying to push Stricter away but Stricter has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Whittaker tries to break the clinch but Stricter is controlling the position.

Stricter wants the takedown. Whittaker is fighting it off but Stricter persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Whittaker's guard against the cage.
Whittaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stricter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stricter stops Whittaker from standing up.
Stricter looking to pass the guard.
Stricter chips away with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stricter trying to control but Whittaker is working from the bottom.
Stricter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Whittaker's guard.

Stricter is trying to control. Whittaker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Stricter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Whittaker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Stricter.
Stricter wants to control from the top but Whittaker keeps moving.
Stricter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Stricter gets to his feet - Whittaker follows without any prompting.
Whittaker misses with a looping right.

Stricter shoots in and bounces Whittaker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Whittaker manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Whittaker is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Whittaker is looking to break free of the clinch but Stricter has double underhooks.

Stricter gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whittaker is trying to stand.
Stricter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Whittaker defending well though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stricter is looking to pass Whittaker's guard but actually Whittaker recovers to full guard.
Stricter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Whittaker wants to get back to his feet but Stricter is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Stricter connects with a couple of short punches.
Stricter chips away with some ground and pound.
Stricter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Stricter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stricter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Stricter throwing strikes but missing.
Stricter throws a big right hand that misses.
Stricter postures up and lands a big shot to Whittaker's brow.
Whittaker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stricter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Stricter stands and steps away. Whittaker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Whittaker swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Stricter drives through and clinches with Whittaker against the cage.
Stricter prevents Whittaker from breaking the clinch.

Whittaker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stricter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Whittaker to the mat. Whittaker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Whittaker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stricter on the ground.
Stricter engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Stricter trying to control but Whittaker is working from the bottom.
Stricter cracks Whittaker with a solid left hand.
Stricter slips nicely into half guard.
Stricter scores with a big shot! Whittaker's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Whittaker! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nigel Stricter!
