Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Furriel (ranked 1007 p4p, 1441 weight class) and Caelan Aengus (ranked 150 p4p, 203 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcos Furriel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caelan Aengus!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Aengus misses.

Furriel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Furriel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Aengus down.
Furriel grinds an elbow into Aengus's temple.

Furriel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Furriel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Furriel lands a decent elbow from side control.

Furriel goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Aengus has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Furriel but great work by Aengus.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Furriel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Furriel isn't going anywhere.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Furriel is trying to improve his position.
Furriel's coaches at Belmiro Academy have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Aengus wants to stand up but Furriel is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Aengus connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Furriel slips a jab from Aengus.
Furriel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aengus avoids it really well and circles away.

Furriel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Aengus jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos Furriel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Furriel slips a straight right by Aengus.
Furriel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Aengus sprawls well. Aengus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Furriel gets slowly back to his feet.
Aengus is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Aengus throws a series of punches but Furriel avoids them all with ease.

Aengus cracks Furriel with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Aengus has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Furriel to stand back up!

Furriel is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Furriel looks up at the clock. Bad move! Aengus lands a right hand from hell, dropping Furriel. Aengus pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Caelan Aengus!
A relieved looking Caelan Aengus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
