Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ajax Jacker (ranked 2389 p4p, 2729 weight class) and Woodie Maykit (ranked 326 p4p, 365 weight class). Ajax Jacker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ajax Jacker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Woodie Maykit!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maykit displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jacker.
Ajax Jacker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacker has a takedown stuffed.
Maykit let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Jacker gets a double leg takedown into Maykit's guard.
Jacker has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maykit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Maykit looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Maykit is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jacker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maykit defends it easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jacker is on top in guard.

Jacker lands a couple of elbows.
Jacker throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacker with a nice head shot there.
Jacker wants to control from the top but Maykit keeps moving.
Maykit has his hands on Jacker's head, controlling the position.
Jacker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jacker throws a big right hand that misses.
Jacker lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jacker looking to pass the guard.
Jacker won't allow Maykit to sweep him here.
Maykit has his hands on Jacker's head, controlling the position.
Jacker throwing strikes from guard but Maykit blocks nicely.
Jacker trying to control but Maykit is working from the bottom.
Jacker throwing strikes but missing.
Jacker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jacker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jacker cracks Maykit with a solid left hand.
Jacker is looking to work some ground and pound but Maykit has wrist control.
Jacker scoring with punches to the head and body.
Jacker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jacker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Maykit dives on top into guard.

Jacker looking for a sweep. Not yet Jacker, not yet.
Maykit works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Maykit is looking for a kimura but Jacker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maykit to get the leverage.

Maykit is trying for a kimura here. Jacker looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Maykit wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Woodie Maykit!
An out of breath Woodie Maykit thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
