And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Bobby Dent! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. No luck with that takedown attempt from Dent. Kuzmitch rushes Dent and presses him up against the cage. Dent is working for takedown but Kuzmitch is calmly controlling the position for now. Kuzmitch decides to pull guard. Kuzmitch controlling the position. Kuzmitch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dent on the ground. Dent trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuzmitch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dent drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kuzmitch looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kuzmitch looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Dent can't do much from the bottom here. Dent is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kuzmitch's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuzmitch performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dent tries to roll over but Kuzmitch keeps him under control. Kuzmitch looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kuzmitch passes to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuzmitch controls the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kuzmitch moves into full mount! That's six minutes gone in the round. Kuzmitch has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Kuzmitch is stinking the place up with his stalling.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Kuzmitch. Kuzmitch seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dent for as long as he can get away with.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Kuzmitch is hanging on to Dent's back as he tries to escape.
Kuzmitch has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dent's body.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Dent looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Kuzmitch is trying to stick to Dent's back but Dent is turning into Kuzmitch. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kuzmitch's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dent. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Kuzmitch (12) vs (2) Dent Dent wants to control from the top but Kuzmitch keeps moving. Dent drops back looking for a leg! Kuzmitch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kuzmitch manages to kick Dent off! Dent jumps back into Kuzmitch's guard. Dent is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag. Kuzmitch pulls Dent in to control the position.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Dent trying to control but Kuzmitch is working from the bottom. Kuzmitch is pulling down on Dent's head. It's preventing any offense from Dent, at least for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Dent thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kuzmitch bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dent's guard.
