Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Guy Le Franc (ranked 2535 p4p, 2401 weight class) and Kake Kummola (ranked 327 p4p, 313 weight class). Kake Kummola has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guy Le Franc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kake Kummola!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le Franc throws a body shot but no joy.
Le Franc gets off balance looking for a body kick
enabling Kummola to counter with a crisp jab.
Jab, jab by Le Franc - just one landing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kummola, as that shot connected.
Le Franc throws a body shot but no joy.
Le Franc takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No joy there for Kummola, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Le Franc has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

enabling Kummola to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Guy Le Franc has been cut.
Le Franc shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kummola tries a head kick but it misses.
Le Franc swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Le Franc counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kummola scores with a hook to the body. Le Franc takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kummola looks to land a right hand but Le Franc moved out of range.

Le Franc rushes Kummola and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Le Franc misses with a short punch on the inside.
Le Franc goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kummola creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kummola tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Le Franc ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Le Franc no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kummola sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Le Franc's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kummola is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Le Franc sees it coming and defends easily.

Kummola looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Kummola seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Le Franc does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kummola passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Le Franc!
Le Franc stops Kummola from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Le Franc is in all sorts of trouble here.
Le Franc wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Our spies down at at FF Forever inform us that Kummola has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Will Kummola go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Kummola is persistently looking for the submission but Le Franc is defending it well.
Kummola wants to control but Le Franc is keeping busy.

I really don't envy Le Franc right now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kake Kummola dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Guy Le Franc's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Le Franc fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Le Franc throws a lazy right hand but Kummola sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Good work by Kummola as he checks the leg kick.
Kummola throws a counter combo.
Kummola throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Le Franc catches Kummola with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Le Franc counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Kummola counters with a good low kick that Le Franc was not able to check.
Kummola takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Kummola swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Le Franc misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Le Franc slips a straight right by Kummola.
Kummola throws a leg kick that is checked
and Le Franc counters with a two punch combo.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Le Franc moves out of range as Kummola strikes.
It looked like Le Franc wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Guy Le Franc is winning the standup battle so far.
Kummola is looking to land body kicks.
Le Franc swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Le Franc ducks under a wild hook from Kummola.
Kummola throws a half hearted mid kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Le Franc walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kummola on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Le Franc lands a jab to the nose.
Le Franc connects with a right that clearly hurt Kummola. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Le Franc proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Kummola collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guy Le Franc!
